The story
From apprentice to AutoCAD, CNC and beyond
Unique, high-quality furniture, made from AutoCAD to manufacturing.
Wouter Bester has more than 29 years of experience. He started as a woodwork apprentice and grew through roles that cover design, CNC production, installations, flatpack exporting and AutoCAD drawings for installers, so that plumbing, electrical chasing and the final installation are professional and meet their deadlines.
Along the way he has also been involved in tiling, concrete work and formwork, rough and finish carpentry, CNC coding, welding, maintenance management, project management and prepress workflows. The result is a woodworker who understands the whole job, not just the cabinet.

Carpentry woodwork apprentice
Learned the trade at the bench, from rough carpentry through to fine finishing.

Woodwork foreman
Led woodwork production and the people doing it.

2002 – 2013
Prepress technician & graphics
Implemented ISO 12647 colour standards, the international benchmark for colour calibration and control in print, and learned to design and manage workflows.

CAD drafting & design
Produced technical drawings and designs in AutoCAD and CAD/CAM 2D.

2013 – 2016
Project management
- Managed budgets, timescales and scope changes.
- Led technical delivery teams and ran client and internal meetings.
- Monitored spending and compiled budgets to support decisions.

2016 – 2024
Mechanical technician
Diagnosed and resolved equipment faults, ran preventive maintenance and fabricated precision parts to specification.

2016 – 2020
Maintenance manager
- Oversaw maintenance priorities for a 44 000 m² property and generated job cards for 98 personnel.
- Implemented maintenance programmes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
